The Application Process
FEMA offers any number of programs listed below.
If you are impacted by a major disaster, FEMA will assist. We will have caseworkers available to take your aid application. The caseworker will validate that your application is correct. Your application for Serious Needs Assistance (750.00) EMA offers will be submitted, and you will receive a check from the Downingtown Disaster Savings Fund. Your FEMA check will be sent directly to you, and your cash aid package will be $750 plus an amount to be determined out of the disaster savings fund.
FEMA Individual Assistance Program
FEMA, or the Federal Emergency Management Agency, is a U.S. government agency tasked with coordinating disaster response and recovery efforts, providing assistance to communities affected by natural disasters, such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.
