Our Goal
The Downingtown Resilience Fund is committed to making sure every dollar donated for flood relief goes directly toward helping local families and individuals recover after a flood.
How Financial Assistance Works
After a qualifying flood or natural disaster event, local residents (Downingtown Borough, East Caln Township and Caln Township) may apply for financial assistance through our application and review process. Each application is reviewed using objective eligibility guidelines established by our Board of Directors, with priority given to households facing the greatest immediate need.
Assistance may help cover essential expenses such as:
- Temporary housing
- Food and groceries
- Clothing
- Medical needs
- Cleanup and debris removal
- Replacement of essential household items
- Other disaster-related expenses not fully covered by insurance or government assistance
Our goal is to provide timely support that helps families recover while they work through insurance claims and other available assistance programs.
How Your Donation Is Used
- Our organization is operated entirely by volunteers, with no paid staff.
- Every flood relief donation is used exclusively to assist eligible flood victims.
- Flood relief funds are kept separate from:
- Flood mitigation projects
- General operating expenses
- Assistance is available to residents of:
- Downingtown Borough
- East Caln Township
- Caln Township
